Prior to the planned production of its inaugural feature film, "I don't want to be like you 我不想像你一样", Lucar Asia Films and its esteemed partners achieved considerable recognition. The studio's three short films amassed 42 prestigious awards and earned multiple nominations at renowned festivals, including the Cannes International Film Festival (Entr'2 Marches), Tokyo Film Awards, Chicago Indie Film Awards, Australia Independent Film Festival (AIFF), David Film Festival, Istanbul Film Awards, and the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival, among others.
